Not a Bug Not Leveling

I am unable to level or gain experience. I got up to level 2 and 16 exp but then it wouldn't go up any more, Even tho when i die i still loose exp. (nothing works that iv tried: mining and crafting) And yes it is saying im gaining exp but /level says otherwise.

The default level it shows is your class (combat) experience. That would not go up from crafting or mining. Use "/lvl toggle" to switch the bar from combat level/exp to crafting level/exp.
