Bug Newly placed pistons not working

I am a level 38 engineer who has just gotten piston use, however, they're not working, I can place pistons however, they won't work if I connect redstone to them, I believe this is a bug but piston use may be turned off right now. I also have a picture. This is rather annoying as this ability is one of my main ones and one of the main reasons I chose engineer, I have heard placed pistons before a period of time still work as certain doors still work and new ones don't.

I just placed them and they worked fine. Anyone else having this issue?

I found out my problem, this was in my private region, which didn't have piston use enabled, sorry for wasting your time
