Bug Mob Spawner XP

Sorry if this is posted somewhere already.

I was led to believe that killing a mob spawner should result in ~200 crafter xp. However when I killed one I was rewarded nothing. If this is a bug then BUG REPORT! However if I was misinformed, please cure my ignorance.
