Map Wipe with 1.0 update

Will there be a map wipe with the 1.0 update because this map is mined to hell and back! There is literally no room left on bedrock to mine, for new players this makes it increasingly hard to set up base because where ever you go (even to the very borders) there are already extensive mines underground which have left VERY limited resources

As far as I know, no map wipe is planned in the near future.

There's no map wipe planned currently. As far as resources go, I believe at the meeting there was talk of reviving the "warshard" Map, which was a free-for-all pvp map accessed through the multiverse, that was regenerated on a regular basis.

And for future reference, unless staff is talking about a map wipe, don't talk about it people start freaking out.

It's a free for all. There shouldn't be any official townships, it's more or less just... well, chaos. If you want an example, you can visit the previous warshard using the nexus to get an idea of what it was like.

you could build a town, but it wouldnt be official and would probably be griefed to hell if you didnt maintain it every week.
