When darkness congregates together, it becomes something more sinister. No longer is just "evil". It is truly a twisted thing. It is something.....malevolent. This idea, this shadowy darkness, is like matter. As it grows larger, spreading, it grows in mass. As any object in space, the greater mass, the greater gravitational pull. Darkness spins around and around, slowly growing, attracting more to itself; an exponential plague that spreads throughout the world. The senescence of evil is indeed fascinating.
It is usually difficult to recognize the signs of darkness in others. Just a drop of evil, and the person immediately become corrupted. It may just be the odd "dark" phrase or two. Maybe a harsh comment, or increased violent tendencies. Even if the signs are recognized at the onset, many refuse to believe what is happening to their friends, family, loved ones, or even themselves. They brush aside their own fears, dismissing it as their own paranoia. Such a grave mistake that is. Without early treatment Evil will continue to fester in the heart, continuing to grow, to evolve, just like a living organism.
