LWC's & blocked chests in Trade District

Just want to get a confirmation about the rules regarding LWC's and blocked chests in the Trade District.

I know it is illegal to place a block above a chest, but what about LWC's? Are they legal to have in the shop or are Ender Chests only used to hold stock.

The reason I ask is because I see more than 1 shop that has a LWC placed. One of these shops rented my a staff member. A friend of mine was told that they cannot have any LWC chest in a shop.

As I already said, it is not illegal to have chest blocked or LWCd if the contents are for storage purposes pertaining to the chestshops.

No, admins have confirmed blocking a chest is illegal however having a lwc is fine.

I said last night you can have a lwc and things covered as long as EVERYTHING in it is being sold in the shop. If one item is in there and does not pertain to the chest shop, it can and will be removed.

For example you are selling gold ore only in chest shops but you have redstone or armour in the LWC, that is illegal.

That was my understanding. I have seen admins say this in chat at least twice now. You can block chests, but only if what is in those chests are items you have chest shops for.

Must clarify again what you have shops for in the building. Decorations do not count.

In short and simple terms. If the chest contains something you're selling or is used to make something you're selling it's ok. Anything else is a no go and will result in the chest being unblocked or unlwc'd

You do mean in the chest shop in that shop correct? Otherwise I could store anything, as I could sell it via trade and that would be legal by your statement =P

Yeah I knew that but my IRL job is to take laws and figure out how people will get around them and put in place the rules and procedures to stop that, so I wanted to make it clear. =P

What is the deal with having stock for the chest shop in the td shop? I view this differently than using it as "personal storage". There aren't spawn plots out and it saves time of running back and forth to restock a chest shop. Is this still allowed?

You can have stock you cannot have the store blocked off. LWC or blocked chests only, not spaces blocked off. The rules state:

Trade District Rules (Applies to Haven only)

• Shops are to be used as shops only
• Shops are not to be lived out of
• Shops can not be blocking access to any of the shop areas
• Temporary Chests for storage pertaining to the chest shops are allowed
  • Chests used for storage NOT pertaining to the chest shops are NOT allowed
• Shops can not be used as secondary or primary homes
• Abusing any skills to remove the Rent Shop sign is punishable with a suspension
• Any shop violations are corrected on the spot without warning

I assumed it meant blocking access to shop areas as in the spots with chest shops and not the plot itself which is why I was confused.
