Java Error?

I keep receiving

"Connection Lost"
"Internal exception: java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out"

after I've been logged in for a few minutes. This started happening about 20 minutes ago. I've rebooted my modem, router & PC with no change.

I have the exact same issue. However I have not been able to log on at all, when I attempt to log on I get the same error. I have noticed that this happen with all server(not that I want to play on any other servers) I am going to try reloading my .jar and check for java updates next. Single player works fine.

This is happening to a lot of people. Someone needs to fix this because no one can log in right now

The authentification server is down

It's an issue with minecraft.net's authentication. It sucks pretty hardcore.

Shortly after posting, I tried to login and it said "Server reboot inc", so afterwards I was able to get back in.
