Okay what was I doing....

I had gone mining, decided to pick up my stuff and go, so I emptied my LWC, removed the LWC, then started to run.
While running I punched a tree, saw that the log went into my hotbar and not the stack that should have been in my inventory, opened my inventory and it was empty. Only the items in my hotbar remained.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Did you check to see if the chest was back and items were in it? I have experienced this many times during lag where I try to empty a chest, close it, open my inventory, and they move back into the chest.

I was a good 300+ blocks away, so I didn't.
