I'm trying to get my IRL friend to play Herocraft, but I need a little help. Anyone got anything I could tell him to persuade him to play?

The best way to persuade anyone is to use points that you feel strongly about as well as points that your audience can relate to. In short, make a list of all of the wonderful things about herocraft. Look at each point and determine which ones you will be able to argue strongly for and will "hit home" with your friend.
*Advice from a debate/speech team guy*

And if that doesn't work you can always go with plan B: "don't knock it till you try it"

Yeah, what is your friend interested in? Tailor your argument to your audience.

Well, the thing is, he's a new kid at my school, so I don't know him that well. I was hoping more for general things to say to convince him.

Well, you could do what I did to most of my friends to get them to play minecraft.
I forced them(kindly, maby with some nagging involved) to watch me play while trying to get them interested, worked with 5 out of 7 :p
(the two others said "meh, to bad graphics").
