Just a head's up - we will be deleting all player files older than 60-90 days. This is to ensure the performance and calculations for reading the players/plugins are as efficient as possible.

Please note if you are a supporter - your player file will be stored forever and if for some reason it gets deleted, we can quickly restore it :)

Here's some random numbers for you:
Since Sept 7th 2012 - we have had over 50,000 unique log ins. Any plugin that creates a player file will mean that that number could be multiplied greatly. We currently have over 250,000 files in our server folder, the large majority of them being players.
Sept 7th - Oct 6th = 12,000
Oct 7th - Nov 6th = 10,000
Nov 7th - Dec 6th = 9,000
Dec 7th - Jan 6th = 11,000
Jan 7th - Feb 8th = 11,000

Just a heads up to everyone, I'll be sending out an alert - if you know someone that hasnt been on in 90 days, make sure to tell them!
Thanks for reading!

If a player hasn't been on in 90 days and hasn't donated, will everything they have be reset?

Yup. We will be archiving the supporter files and backing them up to an offsite storage, along with the map every so often - just incase something goes badly with the physical hardware.

In order to have a lean server, we have to optimize the things we can and do away with the things we cannot optimize (in this case delete those files)

The numbers do not lie, we had 10,000 unique players log in the last 30 days and for the last 5-6 months that has been the trend and it doesn't appear to be stopping.

Good to know, thanks for the clarification. :)

If someone donated $0.01 would they count as a supporter?
