Here is a list of Horse Bugs. @TheYeti

1. Baby/Slow Mounts
  • Horses used to be all the same horse when summoned. They could jump really high and run really fast. THEN someone decided to add variety.
  • The skill SummonHorse got much more complex and was improved by this change. However, the Mount skills now include some Adult Horse mounts that are slower than walking. They also include Baby Horses which are useless and waste the skill's mana and warm-up. This is something all Dreadknights and Paladins (or someone who plays with them) know about and laugh about, but its been a while now and it could use a fix.
2. Entangle Rocket Mount
  • Pretty simple glitch. Mount a Horse, have a friend use Entangle on the Horse, and then press Jump.
  • Have fun flying to about y=250, I sincerely hope you did this while standing in shallow water, because if you didn't you will die.
3. Generic Hitbox Mount Issues
  • Sometimes the Horse eats a fireball or a skill from a chasing enemy. This means that the rider is not dismounted, like they would have been if the skill hit them instead of their mount.
  • Riders can target their own mounts. This is a minor issue.

HOT FIXES:
1. Keep SummonHorse for Farmer with a wide variety. Remove the Slower-than-Sprint-Jumping and Baby mounts from DreadSteed and HolySteed, keep the lore variety Black and White for these mounts.
2 and 3. Disable targeting of horses with mouse-over skills.

Lets not forget the all too common glitch where it shows the horse/rider as being in one place but they are really many many blocks away. (I have a video of this in action)

That's just lag, it happens in boats, carts, and running past someone

I agree with Dsaw's point #1. I used HolySteed several times today on live and the adult horses run really slow, and baby horses can spawn and really waste the mana and warmup, which I find as a big annoyance since Paladin doesn't have a large mana pool in the first place, and that HolySteed uses up a considerable amount of mana. I think this is a bug and should be fixed.

I personally think all the horse stuff is funny. lol. I've been lucky and never got an adult that was slow. (From when I was a Paladin like a few days ago). As for the super jump horse thing I think it's fun to do. A simple use of Invuln prevents death if it is off cooldown. The whole entangle + horse thing honestly mostly happens out of combat when not in serious pvp, so like if planning to get up something tall or just simply like falling from layer 500. To my experience, I haven't seen the extreme super jump misused yet so it seems harmless to me but I can see how it's a bug.

Since they fixed steeds so that it dismounts when taking damage (and that dmg, if from a player, is instead channeled to the player) and when entering combat, the ultra-jump from Entangling doesn't work anymore and will instead root you instead of the horse.
