I was thinking

Why do Casters n Healers not use books as weapons?

Solution.HeroBooks

Herobooks would be Books that You could Bind 2 Spells to.

1 for the Left Click. One for the right

To use it a Caster/Healer Spec would have to do

/Herobook Bind 1 "NameOFsKILL" For Left

/Herobook Bind 2 "NameOFskill" For Right

Like. For Example.A Generic Lvl 20 Wizzy would be able to Keep Fireball and Icebolt on 1 Bind

Or A Bloodmage could Keep SiphonBlood on Left and BloodGift to Heal on Right

Or A Cleric Could keep Smite on Left and SacredWord on Right

This does not come without Drawbacks however.

HeroBooks would be a kind of RARE Drop.Or perhaps have a random chance of being found in mob slaying,Etc.

Thoughts?This creates the SpellBook Concept.

We've been considering adding in a "multiple" bind system to Herocraft - it'd be nifty to see healers/casters use the books to bind to.

@gabizou had plans for it but Townships have been taking a bigger priority.

Yep, and trust me, finding bugs and finding the sources is what takes a long time.

I was thinking something along the lines of being able to bind multiple skills to items, though, it would mean using left click to switch between skills and right click to activate said skill. That was the initial idea, though, since most item binds are weapons, using left click to switch between skills would be somewhat problematic. Not to mention, your idea, while good, is very caster oriented and classes like Dragoon wouldn't have much lore to back up using a book to switch between skills.

Adding books as weapons though would be a balance idea that I think @Kainzo should probably consider, would interact well with lore.

Books as weapons, eh? Be interesting to have a book that performed a "skill" action when used as a melee weapon on something.

Using books makes sense for Wizard. Right now Wiz is more like a Sorcerer. Wiz has to prep spells to use magic, whereas with a Sorcerer it's an instant 'power-within' magic.
