Bug Getting /tell messages from random people (by mistake)

For some reason, on this server and another, I occasionally get messages from people that aren't meant to be for me, and they say wc afterwards. I was told by some person that it goes to me by default when they do /tell (msg) without the person name. Has this happened to anyone else?

This is usually when the message they type goes over the character limit. The heromod has a feature that will allow you to make as many messages as they want.
Example: /tell kainzo blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah (no more room) I (is now what the /tell command looks for) love you.

Basically, the someone goes over the limit using /tell it picks the first letter possible and if its an I (or more likely is) it looks for a play with is in their name.
I know this since that has happened to me many times

Not necessarily. It may be because the sender was looking to message another isaac.

Basically what I think is causing this is that people are being lazy and aren't typing out full names when sending people private messages so the autofill default to the first matching name alphabetically from the partial name.

Example:
Online on the server there is BillTaylor, BillNeigh and Billybob
I type "/tell Bill Hi" when trying to send BillTaylor a message.
Now minecraft will try and fill in the rest of the name to match an online player.
So it looks at the matching names in alphabetical order BillNeigh, BillTaylor and Billybob
BillNeigh is the first match so the message will default to him.
Now if I were to do "/tell BillT Hi" The message would correctly send to BillTaylor since the only matching name with those characters is BillTaylor.

So in short the issue is people being lazy and trying to use as fewer characters as possible when sending private messages.

I can reproduce this, by doing this.

"/tell <msg>" <<< note that there are TWO spaces inbetween tell and message.
It's an issue with the user, not really the code... the code just looks for the first person and sends.
