Reason you should be accepted: 'Allo there. I've read both the Rules and the EULA, and found nothing with which I could disagree. I've had minimal experience playing Minecraft online, and am looking for an exciting server on which to start. I'm an old hand at RPGs, getting my start with Pen and Paper games up to MMOs, however, so the sound of an RPG influenced server sounds like comfortable territory. I fancy myself a friendly fellow, eager to learn and to cooperate, and I earnestly hope others would come to agree. I've played Minecraft in Singleplayer quite a bit, and while I've made nothing huge or amazing, I like to think I've a good creative mind. I dabble a little in more mundane forms of art as well.
How did you hear about Herocraft?: I've been watching the Forums at MinecraftForum.net, trying to judge what would be a good place to dip my toes into the Multiplayer Pool. I saw this server posted there and was impressed by what I saw.
Have you voted for Herocraft (No? Click here)?: Not yet. It doesn't seem fitting to vote for something before seeing it; I hope that's no mind.
Additional Info: In the various games I've enjoyed, I've been something of a Lore Buff, and I'm always hungry for a rich back-story. I did say I dabble in art a bit. I've based my Minecraft skin off an RPG feel, so I can show that off most easily:

As for building, I can give a couple examples of my work for your pleasure:

StoneHeartKeep.jpg

Who hasn't done a castle? This one is called Stone Heart, and is based off of Early to Mid Norman styles. It is a traditional Four-Turrets form with a few minor tweaks; the Drawbridge Keep is a more Germanic feature, the wide tower hosts a secure Farming space, and the center space of the castle sacrifices a traditional courtyard for an open quarry shaft, making the castle almot entirely self-sufficient.
EndCity.jpg

On the less traditional side, this project was called "End City". The idea was to use obsidian-backed black wool and large, empty underground spaces to simulate the look of The End, and nestle a city within it. The city itself was taking queues from Dark Elven architecture as represented in some Dungeons and Dragons sources. Sadly, I've since halted the project. Without using the highest rendering distance setting, creating an "Underdark" style subterran city is just impractical. A pity.

All that said, I should note I'm nervous about this whitelisting process - as stated, this is my first major foray outwards into the greater Minecraft community. You describe your server as using quite an impressive array of Plug-Ins and enhancements... would I require something on my end to gain the full benefit of these? Or is this all handled server side?

Anyways, I hope you enjoy what you see and I hope further that I stand to learn from all this. A preemptive 'Thank You', mates.

First off fantastic application. Second, the plugins are all server side. We do allow certain mods, but those are on your side not server side.

Third, welcome to Herocraft!
