I think you should either develop or use one of the plugins on bukkitdev/forums. We all know about reloging and then having to be invited to the party again. So maybe a friends list that can show you your current friends online, their co ords (maybe), class and level etc.... You can't hurt people on your friends list and they can't hurt you this should probobly be toggleable so you can duel etc...
