Ive noticed in last few weeks, a bunch have people have made EXTREMELY LOW prices on shit they say there selling. And when i ask them when i can get it the second after they said for sell, i noticed they say there out ...... right there out right afterwards. And few minutes later there looking to buy the same shit they claimed to be selling for a VERY FUCKING LOW PRICE. What i see going on here is people PRETENDING TO SELL EXTREMELY LOW what they dont have, in order to undercut the market to make what they wanna buy cheaper and im sick and tired of these pretenders fucking up trade for us REAL SELLERS so they get shit way cheaper something needs to be done about this and soon. Otherwise nothing will have value with time if it continues.

Buy low, sell high.

They could legitimately be flipping items that fast. It's how a merchant works, someone who wants coin right away sells to me for a lower price, then I sell it for a higher price to people who want the items immediately.

Maybe I missed something in your OP, I couldn't understand it fully.

When you offer a price in /t, or offer to buy something in /t, you have to stick to it. Is that correct, @Kainzo ?

Yes, that is correct, but, who is to say he isn't buying or selling the items? If you're selling something very cheap of course it is going to sell very fast and he will be out! Then he is going to try and buy more for a cheaper price from someone desperate, the repeat step one.

I've seen this as well

I'll see something go for a price that no sane person would actually use, like glowstone for waaay cheap,

then within the hour other sellers start selling it for a lower price

of course, I buy this low and wait a week and sell high muhahah, but the fact remains, there is some shadyness going on, I've been suspecting the same for a while but thought it was just me

I don't think /ch t is THAT BAD. The trading on the server has increased dramatically with just a few rules changes, for the better too! :p Since Seratt posted the rules on the forums there was less scamming and less ''buy-killing''.

But, some people do scam a lot. Maybe they need the title [Sir Scam-A-Lot]? :p

Could work, it would put customers off buying from them! :p

I've been trying to sell glowstone for 2c each - I had 0 buyers anyways.

I actually do have 16 stacks aswell..

I think THEY tried to lower my prices. but w/e if nobody wants to buy thats fine lol. more for me :D

I haven't been here too long, so I might be missing something, but I don't know why you'd want to ban people for being crafty in trade. If certain groups try to seize or topple or simply mess up the economy, they will become the enemies of other groups who don't want that to happen. They'll also get people on their sides through promising money and goods and what not. Then you might get some really interesting conflict... Didn't the Madlum thingy have something to do with the price of gold? The economy can be a powerful influence on peace and the lack thereof. Right now, most fighting (from what I can tell) revolves around simple raids and people attacking just for fun. If the global economy becomes a point of discontent, some very large battles might arise... world war scale even, maybe. I guess you might not want a ton of fighting, but that's sorta what keeps the game interesting. A major conflict probably wouldn't come up for a long while, but it wouldn't ever come up if tricky people were ostracized from trade. The only reason that I see for banning people for trade reasons would be exploits of game mechanics, like logging off before paying or something. But this server has rules, I suppose, and I'm in no position to argue with them. Just my opinion on the matter.

It's not being crafty, it's people trolling and it won't start wars

@Joka10 yes you are missing something its not being crafty its going AGAINST forum rules set fourth by staff for players to follow and for a good reason. To attemp toppling an economy your taking away from those who worked so hard to get what there selling so in essense your ripping hard working players off and thats wrong and immoral.
