Experiencing lag on Herocraft, need help!

I couldn't find anywehere else on the forums to post this, so I'll post it here as I feel it to be most relevant.

So absically, I'm returnign to herocraft (played in Zeal and Dragon) however I have some ridiculous lag. My mates say they have no problems, and since then I have moved to Switzerland (from England). Any hel on achieving minimal lag, I also know that the lag is not on my internet.

I knew there were more of us, but I don't know why it's so bad. I just started and leveling seems impossible when creepers jump 10 blocks.

The lag hasn't targeted a specific group, but a fairly large amount of members have been lagging lately. Don't be too alarmed that it's your ISP or anything.

I could be misinformed about this, but I have been told that it is a sever side issue with the amount of coding going into the heromod. I have had this issue from time to time as well and I also know that it is not my Internet provider (50+ mb down, 11ish mb up and 0 packet loss when running speed test during prime hours to Las Vegas, NV) and I know that it is not my machine (I7 3770k @ 3.5GHz unclocked, 16Gb RAM, AMD Radeon 7700 GPU w/ 1Gb on board RAM, I think my MoBo is an MSI but I don't recall offhand, and I'm running Windows 8 Pro with no issues). All this being said the only thing I can think of is ISP issues on the server's end or back to the additional code for the mod.

Thanks guys, I tried later today, and as opposed as mob lag(been like this since zeal, so its normal) everything was working lag free basically
