Bug Entangle not working very well

When I use entangle several possible scenarios happen.

1. it seems the enemy is heavily slowed but not rooted.

2. No effect

3. They are rooted but not for a whole 4 seconds.

This has been very frustrating to me and im not sure whether other people have come in contact with this issue or not.

Just FYI you do know entangle breaks on damage?

Also, warming up spells on target break the snare

Yes im aware of that, but why is it that when I use it on spiders it only slows them?

creatures cannot be fully rooted at this time.
