Enchanter Tool Restrictions

Intentional or not, it's redundant. Like how everybody got Mark and Recall through both Crafter and their PvP class, every single class has it's own non-weapon tool restrictions.

Not quite on-topic, but not irrelevant: if the Wiki is accurate, a spellcaster could potentially circumvent it's melee limitations by going Enchanter and using a diamond pick instead of a hoe.

Recent change: Only Profession gets Mark and recall, not Class.

But, for example, lets say you are an enchanter and anything except for a dreadknight or ranger, and are going to be doing a bunch of logging, you are constricted to Stone and wood axes, meanwhile even if you are a crafter not specced as an enchanter you could get the job done much faster by using a iron or diamond axe.

I know. ;) And I did use past tense! But it's the same kind of thing- Professions are introduced and can take over things PvP classes had to do thus far.

I think the tool restrictions are completely intentional, and if Enchanting is going to be a big fat hairy deal, maybe the tool restrictions are a good trade-off.

Didn't catch the past tense. :) But, yes. Maybe it is a good trade off, it just bothers me that it's the only Profession with such a restriction.
