With the community in mind, I want to give more power to those who are actively involved with the day to day game-play.
We will be reworking the balance team to be a more definable role/activity within the community. The threads will be publicly view-able so all can see the discussion but only the Balance Team (and balance coders) will be able to post.
Team Repo: http://git.hc.to/herocraft-balance/herocraft-config/
Here's the main changes of balance:
- Objectivity backed changes (Formula/bench marking/play testing)
- Back-end configuration access to actual/raw numbers (No more guessing!)
- Test server mod powers
- Historical backlog of changes (Stored via the Balance Repo)
- Balance PVP and PVE combat and professions
- Maintain an atmosphere of social respect between staff and players.
What the balance team does NOT do:
- Suggest new code/classes as "fixes" (Use suggestion forums!) (Example: most anything other than config changes)
- Use biased or subjective logic to justify changes.
- Use false information or not personally tested data.
- Provide raw-data to other non-staff members
- Hold multiple ban records or constant disciplinary records
