Well I've been having this problem with the samurai's disgrace skill for some time now where it rubber bands you back to the place where you last used it. It seems the only way to stop this is to switch from the weapon that used the skill.

You are using "/bind" right ? That's the problem , when you right click with the sword to activate the skill , it somehow override with the skill itself making the sword to be on right-click mode ( that make you to go slower ) , but you try to move faster than you should , so the server stops you and makes you to walk normally ( with the sword right-clicked ) . Why don't you just use the modpack ? It has keybind mod , mana bar , party frames and other mods .
With the keybind mod you can bind to key "F" the command "/skill disgrace" . It's highly recomended to use it .
