Disciple Bug?

Ever since Disciples were reformed the Force Push and Pull skills have been useless. Whenever I use force push or pull on a creature that is near or far I waste 15 mana to push the being over one block closer or farther away. I heard rumor Kainzo was dealing with the issue but has it been nerfed completely until then? Or is this another issue?

The velocity abilities have been changed by @Sleaker and is being reworked - it will come back to a better / more reliable method hopefully soon, fret not, little one.
