Bug Deathchest + Log in to death.

All right, I logged out in warshard this morning, nothing around me, perfectly calm area. I wasn't combat tagged, wasn't being chased, I just logged out cause I had class. Now that class if over, I decided to log back in, (typical Graink right) and what do you know! Boom! Somehow I log in to death. There was no death message upon logging in, apparently I died a fraction of a second before logging in and everyone else was able to see the message, save for me. After this, I figured, okay, what ever, another shitty death, I'll just go back and pick up my items and continue my little day on, but no. Deathchests haven't been working for me for the past who knows how long. It's been about 4 - 5 times now where I just don't drop a death chest. Apparently I didn't drop any items either, or according to my death way point I didn't. I have no idea what kind of bug this is, but I wanted to get it out there. I'm more pissed off that I lost my redstone than anything, cause now I have to fucking walk everywhere and find/buy more.

Seems like it was probably the combat log system that killed you. Thus you would have dropped your items upon logging out, which explains the lack of death chest and items.

If you log out while being tagged in combat, you will die logging in, 100% of the time.

I wasn't combat tagged though. I've heard other people talking about how occasionally they'll log in to random death when they're mining, or doing something completely out of the way. I was in warshard, there was about 20 people online. No one was within 400 blocks of me, I would have known cause I was running around for about 20 minutes looking for people and no one was in sight. I've seen what happens to people when they die from the cb logging plugin. They have no death messages (From what I've seen) and they still drop a chest. Unless someone came and destroyed my chest when/if I died this morning, there must be something else wrong. Either that, or the cb logging plugin is buggy.

Same thing happened to me. I had killed a spider several minutes earlier, and was untagged. I logged off, and when I came back, it said I had been killed by a spider. No deathchest was left behind, and my items had despawned. I had about 8 or so diamonds on me and 30 or so gold.

This also happened to me. I was in my home smelting iron, Logged off, came back 3 minutes later and I had died upon log in.

On the deathchest note, I still don't understand why I can't get a deathchest if my life depended on it. (lol) It's been pissing me off for far too long losing all my items, when I figure I'll be able to get them back.

Its happened to me before... I died, re-spawned at a graveyard, walked out about 50 blocks, and someone rang the doorbell... So I logged (not in combat 100% sure) and when I logged back in everyone told me I died from "explosive diarrhea" Truth be told I did take the aggravating 1 block fall damage shortly before I logged off...
