I died in an instant after logging in. It didn't seem like suffocation damage and I didn't fall in to the void. I also didn't PvP log, so no clue why it happened.

Did you log off to avoid fall damage/death and logged back in? Because this will set your HP at 0 when you log back in an if you log back out and in you will be killed in an instant.
Not sure what is causing this, but talked to a few other people on TS and Ventrilo who complained of the same problem. Would log off safely, then like an hour later log back on dead. Also had a few people take damage every time they logged in, absolutely no clue what would be causing this however. :/

Nope. I just logged off in DG to go do something. I wasn't falling or taking any kind of damage.

Were you in the new, recently expanded area? There was a bug report about the expanded land causing deaths on login.
