Bug Created Nether Portal won't go away

I recently started playing, and didn't know that I couldn't travel to the Nether through my own portal. I made a portal, and upon realizing that I couldn't use it, tried to destroy it. But after destroying the frame, the purple door, sounds, and animation all still remain and I can't seem to get rid of it... I put it somewhere with the intention of it being temporary and would very much like to get rid of it.

Is there any fix for this?

Go to the location of the door and open a petition using /pe open <message>, and a moderator will swing by and deal with it for you
