Coding suggestions and help

I've never programmed before but I find it very interesting and woild like to learn how, but I have no idea where to start. So first I need to know which coding language to use.what does herocraft programmers code in and what would u suggest for me?

I would like to learn as well, ive tryed doing a few free courses but i didnt learn anything.. Robocode helped me a little but not enough...

Java is the language. We also use the Bukkit API currently. Learn very basic java before you start messing around with the Bukkit API. ThenewBoston's tutorials are very good, this is where I got started before I took college courses in it.

Minecraft is written in Java, which is a very approachable language. If you search the minecraft forums there are a lot of resources that teach you how to mod minecraft that also teach basic java, and if you combine those with basic java resources you'll have a solid start.
