Bug Cat Pet not making sounds.

I recently purchased the cat pet after confirming it made noise for the player, as we as witnessing Kainzo's pet make cat noises. My cat does not maky any noise, it just sits there looking stupid at me.

Help.

Edit: I can hear other players cats, but not my own.

Exchange for another one possible of equal value?

Has to be something local.

I can hear mine, others can hear theirs. Very odd - could try renaming the entire .minecraft folder and re-downloading.

Maybe even sound drivers?
