Type "/ch o" in the chat (without the quotes).

But you already knew that, because you read all the signs in the Sanctum tower before leaving it.

yea, there are certain channels.
the general one is /ch o, trade is /ch t, help is /ch h, recruitment is /ch re, and then there are chats for towns and kingdoms, for example, Skyforge is /ch sf, and Kingdom of Edolas is /ch koe
