Piggify is a very dis functional, the skill can be deactivated by hitting the player or pig, hitting pig deals no damage to the player of course, or the player it is casted on can hit the pig himself to deactivate the skill.

That's the intent and design of the skill.
It is a crowd control mechanism - it is not a stun or root.

The victim should not be able to break out of the effect themselves though.

Guess, I missed when it became a break on damage skill, and let me be more specific, the victim can kill the pig to deactivate the skill, not simply hit it to deactivate it

I confirmed that I could kill the Pig while riding it.

ya, i think it had droped porkchops too

Yeah, if you are riding a pig, you can kill it while riding and sometimes it will drop porkchops.
