Bug Bard Lute weapon tethered to a cow and turned into a non-enchanted Lead

When I was attacking a cow for leather, the lute ended up tethering to the cow and upon the cow dying to AOE damage, the Lute was no longer a lute and instead became a Lead, absent its former Lute ranged attack and power.

Is there a way to turn it back or at the minimum to get a replacement Lute? A bard without their Lute is like a sailboat on a windless day.
