Trok's Ideas of Love and Joy!

I made this thread to maybe add my opinion on the Heroes plugin and on the others as well, I would like to say thank you for allowing me to play on your server, and I wish I could donate. That, out of the way, I would like to express my ideas. Now, here I go and start rambling, ranting, and suggesting. Please comment on some things, maybe you thought that something was to overpowered or to cheap, or just is a terrible idea. But I hope none of my ideas are terrible :(!

[Township]Guild Grounds:
Guild Grounds would be a 35x35 radius ring that would go over a area, this would allow guilds to have rings as well and protections.

Now, I'm not a mayor or someone who balances Herocraft, but I think this is a decent price which would allow the players to make legitimate guilds BUT not have rings everywhere to where everything is protected.

Cost: 5,000c
Upkeep Cost: 150c
Signatures: 5
Mat. Cost: 64 black wool ( black only! No gray! D: ) 35 iron blocks

I have no idea if this would be included into the actual Township rank systems, maybe we could suggest all new Guildship rings, as it would be silly to have players make towns off of a guild. :p

Herocraft Banner:

From what I have seen, we have a Website banner, and I have seen some cool banners, but no public banners, just ones for the staff and for the actual server. I would love to put Herocraft: Home to Heroes plugin, or a I Support Herocraft! Banner, just a small thing, that I know we could as in general chat for, but I would like to have some public ones already made that you can just copy and paste, like some servers do.

Healer Potions:

I was a Healer once, once reaching 50, I changed to Crafter, from there I noticed I could kill a Skeleton faster then a Healer ( PvP class ) could. :O Now this idea would not change the whole "Healers are terrible at PvP and cannot help a teammate if he were to get into a battle." But it could help in some way.

Now, Mushroom soup is not needed if your a Healer correct, because you can heal yourself easy with paper, so why need Mushroom soup, well, if Healers were to regenerate mana when they drink Mushroom soup for a short time.

Hero Point System:

Now this would be a game changing idea so I don't expect it to be added if Kainzo likes it, anytime soon, because it would not be fair to the players that play now, maybe on the next map if Kainzo ever announces one.

The Hero Point System, would be a great add-on to allow the players to customize their Hero as they want, and allow them to be what they want to be.

Hero Points would act as the TP of other RPG games, you can build your skill tree how ever you like, and this would not effect the current spells, just make them more overpowered, but its not my job to balance the skills its my job to play on the game and test for the coders.

Lets say, every level you get 5 Hero Points, the player then could do /hero shop, or another command, and allow the player to put points into a spells, such as if you want your bolt to do more damage, or if you want your sneak to last longer.

Investing into a spell does not mean they unlock that spell, it just means when they do unlock it, they will have the ability to have better powers over the other player, or maybe that player has a trick up his sleeve... maybe.

This would also allow players to invest their points into their damage output, this would allow the player to build as they believe fits.

* Now, I believe if you do like this in any way or want to take the idea, that you would kindly make it so damage output is super low as you start, not as low as a current Crafter, but low, this would make it so players cannot hit 9000 if they invested all their points into it. *

* Note * Like I said before, if you, Kainzo, likes the idea, then try adding it in a big update, as I believe this would basically change Heroes, and I have seen a few threads about a TP system, like other games use, and I agree, but for something so game changing, the person suggesting should put some thought into the idea.

Fact: Guess what! Hero Points can also be said HP so maybe Skill Points would be a better name for them sense we already have a Hit Point System.

Lore:

I love lore, its fun to read lore about games like Runes of Magic, and etc. I read a lot of MmoRPG games lore, just because, its always good to have some lore for your server or at least a background on what happened, and how it got that way. I like the ability to read through hours of fantasy. I know this is not what everyone wants to do, and I am sure its not the first thing I would do either, but its always fun on some free time to think of some lore upon how your township was born/founded, or how your character become one with Herocraft.

I am going to assume because we are a Hardcore PvP community that not a lot of people want to write books and chapters of words. Thats why I also thought of an idea that would allow the players to help out IF they want, its not a necessary thing.

I also want to address that it would be cool if the mayor of the Townships made lore for there Townships, even if they are already made, and it would be cool to add maybe a way when you create a Township in your application it asks for a background ( lore ).

( *Note* This does not mean you have to roleplay and be like "I smite thy holy Kainzo with my powers of Caster" )

[Staff]LoreMaster:

LoreMasters are the ones who create lore and make it special to Herocraft, this would add another position on the staff team of course, the LoreMasters would get a [LM] next to there name, they of course would not get anything special in game, but it would allow the other players to know if that, that staff member is the guy if you have a question about the lore or want to add onto it.

A LoreMaster would mostly spend his time in the wiki creating or editing lore, along with enjoying Minecraft and Herocraft.

I would love to see what they come up with, like how the DH Dragon is frozen, and how Zeal was created and is now floating, it would be cool to see, indeed!

  • Guild Grounds
Since players can be part of a town and a guild, I could see this being used by towns to simply gain more territory. Perhaps require more signatures, like 10, to limit guild spamming by larger towns.

  • Hero Point System
First comment would be to switch numbers, so you get 1 point every 5 levels. Otherwise, players would get hundreds of points and make the system pointless by requiring one point to give a minute change in skills. Also, this would have to be capped, otherwise people will just level up several classes and dump enough points into Fireball to instagib whatever they target. Otherwise, an interesting idea to help people specialize further into their class.

  • Loremaster
I'm an avid roleplayer in another game I play, and feel the same way as you when it comes to lore. This would be a fun addition, and could assist in coordinating events with game lore and locations. I'd even go so far as to volunteer for the position now in case it is created in the future.

Thanks Alator! I would probably apply as well. :p

That is probably why I wanted some was exactly as you put it, we could coordinate events with it and it would be a lot of fun I suppose.

For the Herocraft banner, people can use the one that is on Mine status, as it is the most up-to-date one.

And potions, might not be such a bad idea. Would probably be really useful for healers to have that, as what you said is true.

And with the Guild Grounds, usually guilds make their HQ's in Towns, so that can be useless at times. However, what Alator said about the people being larger to have its own land is a good idea as well. And the area should maybe be 45x45 or 50x50, as to give a bit more room for the HeadQuarters. Although, I'm not sure, and its up to Kainzo and such.

As for the Skill Points, I second Alator's choice of having a cap on it, or people could be sneaking for 5 times the normal amount, maybe even more. And 5 SP every 1 level is too much imo.

Huzzah! Lore is always a must, and would be cool if there was also a caster class that used Lore that is hidden around the map to learn new spells. (Like a Spell Dungeon, except it would have the Bookcase, and a bit of Lore, and right-clicking the bookcase would teach a skill based on the Lore found in those ruins.)

Spell Dungeons were part of the game at one point, and worked exactly as you posted. :)

Alator you should probably get Kainzo's permissions before going ahead and making lore, I'm sure he wouldn't mind but you should probably wait. :p

He's just becoming prepared for if permission is given; better to have a head start than to have it take more time. Also, Kain saying "Alator = been here long enough to be a Lore Master :p" might be good enough as permission. Not sure though.

+1 for LoreMasters. @strongholdx might be good for that to, as he is writing "The Requiem of Heroes", which has a bit of lore in it.

Oh yesssss, I actually have the history of both Zeal and Sanctum planned out including but not limited to: The uprising, The bloodline wars, The ares overthrow, the Zeal takeover, The Dragoon downfall, the Return of Kings and the V101 to D101 transfer, I could make a huge write up on these but dont have the time right this second

I'm just writing down all my ideas. I've lost many a storyline due to simply not writing down ideas.
