Suggestion Arrow Bouncing

Well this is more kind of a "bug" report.
I've been playing ranger for some days now and I noticed (and reaaaally hate) that at a certain distance, if I shoot at my target the arrow just bounces of not dealing any damage to my target. It's really annoying since it's pretty essential for a ranger to fight from a greater distance.
If you wanna be a good ranger you need to keep your distance. But if you keep your distance you do 0dmg...
I don't know if

• This is wanted so the range isn't too high
• This is a problem of minecraft 1.9 itself
• This is a known bug
• This is an unknow bug

But anyways, I hope there's away to fix this since it really bugs me...

Was happening before 1.9, thought I heard it was purposeful as a nerf to ranger a while ago.

But yes, it's very, very frustrating.

Does anyone know if it still works to shoot someone with a arrow in safe zone to combat tag yourself? I hope it's fixed was really annoying last map.

I'm pretty sure this is an intended feature, in order to keep you from shooting mobs while they are not in agro range.

You cannot shoot yourself with a bow. Pretty sure this was added because people were claiming their own bounties. Not sure though.

It was used to get people to punch back in no-pvp areas and gank players in spawn.
