So I've probably tried 5-6 times already to finish a wall but I just can't because after 2-3min it goes back to its original dirt bloc state.

That's what I'm building
And this is what it goes back to after either 2-3min that I'm away from it or logged out.
It keeps going back to its original state. Each time it goes back to its state, I don't get the blocs (the logs and wood slabs) back in my inventory but I keep the bloc I destroyed on me (dirt and a stonebrick staircase)
Really don't know what's up in that particular area. Must be possessed... Plz help!
