Animal spawn rates

I am curious, have animal spawns been disabled? I haven't seen a single sheep, cow, horse, chicken, or pig for days...

Not disabled just super lowered. Helps farmers actually have a use.

I believe that rates should be increased significantly based on multiple factors, some of which are more impactful than others.

The are few to no options for lone wolf players who are scavenging for meat. Casters are restricted to leather armor only, and there is a significant shortage of leather in Valorium. Farmers still have the market cornered on breeding, and thus the food supply. Elements of vanilla Minecraft deserve to have their presence on this server (including mob spawning and animal spawns).

Honestly, finding two chickens and absolutely nothing else animal-wise over four hours of roaming the map is shocking to the senses and deserves to be modified.

The whole intent of crafting recipe restrictions was to bring more challenge and to enable professions to be able to provide specific and marketable services.

A couple of changes lately have decreased players' ability to offer their services in trade. The warp skill being available to everyone will annihilate the market for runestones to spawn as well as Wizards GTPs to spawn. Another recent change, can't remember atm, also took away from the marketability of player services.

Player interaction is a strength of Herocraft. If players can play here without interacting with other players, well, I'm thinking that sounds just like an enhanced single player experience, really. Not what I see HC as being.

Separately however, having livestock - an inherent part of Minecraft - is a valuable and necessary aspect of the Minecraft experience. The hills and fields are barren. Lag hasn't subsided in their absence. A stack of leather is going for up to 175s. Farmers are forced to power level in order to breed, because there are no animals in the wild to capture while they are still at lower levels. It isn't helping anyone to have them gone. Farmers still have their valuable place as breeders, crafters of food, and the like; adding randomly spawning livestock is not going to negatively impact Farmers one bit, imo, and as stated above, may actually help them to get their wares to market earlier through earlier breeding through capture while still below summoning level.

Leather is now in treasure chests. Go grab a few of them and you'll get some easy.
Breeding *was* broken for a while, again, not sure if it was fixed.
Food isn't really worth it, anyone can farm carrots or potatoes.
The only other thing they can do is craft Golden/Diamond Hoes/Axes, though it isn't really helpful since Smiths can do the same and are more often the ones selling.
