Alchemy leveling?

I'm currently a level 47 alchemist, and I am curious as to why the only way to level the profession is by mining? Why do we not gain XP from making potins? Do we gain XP from caudron crafting? People have told me 'No,' but is that the true answer, or does it but barely give any XP?

I believe Logging and TransmuteOre also give xp, but anyway, they SHOULD get xp from crafting cauldron stuff, as crafting already gives XP (To clarify: They DO NOT get xp now, I think they SHOULD GET xp). Xp for potions might be a little harder/give way too much xp. Think about it, 3 potions per stand and you can have 50 stands going. Power leveling to the max.

I agree with the cauldron part, but I also just want to throw in the suggestion I made a while back when it comes to level restrictions on potion making.
