A stupid question I should know the answer to but don't...

I can't seem to find the answer to this on the wiki, and while I should know the answer, I don't, so please excuse a noob question from a veteran player:

What determines the armor/tools you can use in the event of a conflict?

For instance, say I'm a Wizard/Smith - Wizard's can't use swords or diamond pick, but a Smith can use all tools and weapons. So how do I know which pick and weapon I'll be able to use?

Reverse, let's say I'm a Paladin/Enchanter - Paladin can use any kind of swords, but Enchanters aren't allowed to use any kind of sword. So would I be able to use swords or no?

It looks like armor is strictly determined by primary class, so that part is answered already, I think, unless I'm mistaken.

Bonus Question! - The Damage indicators beside a tool make it an obvious weapon of choice or something, but what happens if your Class has a weapon listed as, say, 60 dmg, but your Profession has it listed as 3. How much damage would that weapon do?

Bonus Bonus Question - What happens if you try to use a tool as a weapon that doesn't have a damage indicator in the wiki, but you're still allowed to hold it? For instance, what happens if a Dragoon attempts to use a Stone Hoe as a weapon?

I apologize in advance if these questions are answered elsewhere. I've been looking for two days now and can't find them.

I think that anything the primary class has, you can have regardless of secondary class. But if the secondary class has more than the primary class, you also get that (like smith; a caster can use a diamond sword and any other tool if they are a smith). That's not worded very well, so sorry if it doesn't make sense.

Bonus: It does as much as your primary, I believe.

Bonus Bonus: If you type /hero tools ingame, it shows the damage indicator for just about all the tools. So for a hoe as a Dragoon, you'd probably only do 10 damage or something low like that, because it isn't a normal weapon.

So those are the answers as I know them... it would be embarassing if I was wrong, but I won't rule out the possibility <.<

Your best bet is to type (/hero tools) and see what pops up. It will show what you can wield and how much damage it will do.

Edit: sniped :(

If your primary class (combat) allows you use a weapon/piece of armour, regardless of you crafter, you can use it. one exception is smith. All it does is adds a diamond/gold/iron sword. All tools that aren't listed on the wiki for damage values, will hit 1. And if your primary class has it listed as 400 damage, and your profession has it listed as 9, it will go with the primary classes damage. Hopefully that answered a few questions.

Thank y'all for the quick answers. That's a relief.

Alator, the problem with waiting to type /hero etc is that you are then stuck with that class/profession unless you pay money dollars or you start your character over. I want to know what they can do before I choose.

It sounds like all my questions were answered. Thanks again, y'all!

After I put in as a suggestion the other day, you can now do /hero tools <Classname>. So that will be more up-to-date then the wiki. So, even if you are a Rogue, you can see a Wizard's /hero tools|armor. :)
