A question regarding towns and personal regions.

My friends and I have had a tower in the middle of the ocean for nearly two weeks (put a decent amount of work into it) and when I went to check on it today I noticed that there is a large cobblestone platform nearish to our tower. I believe the owner of the platform intends to build a city there, if so our tower would not fall within their regions but would be within the "don't build within 100 blocks" zone. Would we still be able to use our tower since we didn't build it after them making a city?

Additional info, the tower is a little over 200 blocks away from the center of their platform.

If your tower is regioned I would think the seniority rule applies, where the oldest region has the best claim. However I'm not sure if the seniority rule goes for residences aswell.

This is what the Town Creation page in the wiki says:

• If two towns are expanding near each other, priority is based on both seniority and scope. [Capital > City > Town > Residence > Wilderness House]

As to what this means in your case, I'd say you'd need an interpretation by someone like @Danda or @gabizou.

I personally would not mind (not sure how the other two would feel about it though) if they set up a town from the center of the platform so long as a truce was made, we get to keep the tower, the island connected to the tower and that we would not harass each other. The tower itself is far enough away so that even if they fully upgraded to Capital the tower would not fall within the regions (assuming they plan to have the center of their region from the center of their platform).

Out-dated rule, since towns can no longer be placed close enough to each other for the rule to come into play. However Residence or Wilderness houses would need to be grandfathered into the town.
