A good profession for disciple?

Hi guys I'm trying to aim at disciple and I want to find a good profession for me.

Before I was really hyped at alchemist but then I found out that the stuff crafted by cauldron "seems" useless (I'm aiming at disciple, so chain won't help,), and the transform ore thing doesn't really help either...

Right now I'm looking at:

Merchant and Scribe.

I already crossed out engineer and mason cause I'm not exactly a redstone wiz, I know how to use but to create stuff like pattern and etc it really make my brain hurt.

Next smith is alright because I could help people fix armor and stuff... But I kinda want a profession that could help me and others (mostly me :p).

Miner's out for no reason (don't want to mine that much)

Enchanter again, helps other more than help me (I can only enchant my leather armor if I become disciple)

Farmer is alright too I guess since I could spawn mob and use the skill forage.

So... Any suggestion on Merchant or Scribe? (I would take smith and farmer if you guys could suggest something better... if I use them)

Thanks!

If you do go disc, then you will realize fairly fast that leather isnt the best armor, mainly because it breaks insanly fast. I find myself as a smith constantly repairing it. Smith highly recomended

I think merchant is really only good if you sell something you mine and since you said that mining is not your thing, I would go with farmer because leather is great for armor, cows give 2 other useful items milk and beef, and you can spawn wolves and tame them to aid you in battle (I think). Scribe is only really good if you like beacons and then you need to be able to craft them. Smith is only good if you have friends that mine and are willing to supply you, also smith is again best for friends with a base.

Incorrect, no one can spawn them. Ranger are the only ones who can tame and they require a farmer to breed them (unless the breeding part got fixed)

Scribe is only really good if you like beacons and then you need to be able to craft them.
Scribe also has other things, it has a lot of miscalaneous skills. Some are usefull, Ie: Gills (if they have that or some version of it)

Smith is only good if you have friends that mine and are willing to supply you, also smith is again best for friends with a base.

Leather isnt really too exspensive, so being smith he could repair his own stuff, and eventually sell stuff, Repairs those kind of things that smiths do.

Would enchanter be better than smith because then I could do unbreaking and would that be better than repairing it?

Still deciding between enchanter, smith, scribe, and merchant.

I like alchemist with pretty much any class, free potions for yourself? Victory!
