    I suppose it isn't really your problem, but moreso the way the enchanting works in vanilla this information actually helps greatly, showing me that its not that enchanting is bugged, but when that happens if I don't like the other numbers listed I should remove the item and put it back down...

    Silk Touch

    I'm level 40 enchanter, I've enchanted literally hundreds of tools for people. Never seen it once. Just for kicks last night, I made a double chest of tools, each one I tried for the highest possible enchant, got a bunch of efficiency 3 unbreaking 3 stuff, but no silk touch.

    I think the exp is off by a level or I'm reading it wrong for example I'm level 40 and have like 66000 xp, when I hit 67 I'll be level 41 so they are off by 1

    max enchant level is 111 but you can't do an enchant higher than your current lvl, so max level would be 55 this will prevent any enchant from being a V as they start at level 69 also when you place a weapon or piece of armor, sometimes you have to click the enchant some 20 times before one...
