Long story short: 2 ex-guildies said they'd get my stuff back (my town got raided and the newbs didn't realize the people were enemies) so I paid them each 200c in advanced. One said they had it so i trusted him. He shows me lapis blocks, gold, and diamond blocks in his hands. I stupidly paid him 500c.

He then throws 1 lapis block, 1 diamond block, and 1 gold ingot and begins running away (from the 3.5 stacks of gold, 1 stack of diamond blocks, and 7 stacks of lapis blocks that he was supposed to get). I tail after him, find his plot, go in and then they pour lava on me so I go into the water and log out.

I log back in several hours later (I was supposed to be at an MA so I also had almost 2 stacks of diamonds on me) to find that they boxed me in and filled the thing with lava. Instant death.
