Suggestion Region collision

If two townships expand so much their regions crash with each other, the younger township will have to move its region. However this is pretty unfair, here's an example: If a Hamlet of 10 actives from the first week and a Capital of 40 actives collide, the Capital with 30 more citizens has to move because the Hamlet was created before the current Capital.

Proposed change: Size and population will decide which region that has to move. It's kind of stupid if a Hamlet can stand in a Kingdom's way just because it's older etc.

Kingdom > Capital > City > Town > Hamlet > Pers. Regions > Wilderness houses

With the proposed change, the bigger and growing communities and towns will have the advantage over smaller towns just like it should be.

Another scenario: Two towns are really close to each other. The younger town is growing fast and got over 30 active members. The elder town doesn't recruit at all and can barely have the required activity level. The younger then upgrades to City and the elder upgrades to City some days later. The regions collide and the younger city has to move which causes a stop in their building and recruiting progress. They'll have to build an entire new City while their stuff gets stolen in the not-regioned original city.

Just a suggestion to make the Township system a lot more fair. This will also be healthy for aspiring Kingdoms which is a thing Herocraft really need.

I think it's the Capitals fault for building so close to another Hamlet in the first place, surely if they had goals of becoming a Capital, they would have found a more suitable location to build in the first place... surely.

Not if the location they chose were perfect for their town plan. Like, some towns want to build in an ocean, some on a flat ground and some in the mountains. Many towns did make their base at the location around the same time as the elder town, just that the elder town bought regions first.

It has always been that the younger town moves, nomatter what. Although, I can see how this is unfair, and I like your suggestion, but region moving shouldn't JUST be determined on township activity. Maybe a combination of:

- Which town is older.
- Which town is more active.
- Which town is more developed through building.
- Which town is more developed through classes, specs and professions/PvP.
- Which town is more important (through alliences and potential kingdoms).
- Which town has a greater impact on the HC community.

If the location was perfect, it wouldn't be so close to an existing township.

Basically the situation going on here is that his town Canterlot used to be part of XD kingdom. The location of the town was picked to be close to the kingdom's capital city of Nevermore. Distance didn't matter then because we were all part of the same community. When you're allied this doesn't matter, for example Newerth and Underdeep on Sanctum were so close their sky rings overlapped and the towns shared regions, but it didn't matter because we were part of the same kingdom and it was planned. Kenn decided to leave the kingdom messing up the plan. Now the pylons for the kingdom of XD will basically have to go through his town.

Kenn knows this inevitably will happen which will force him to move his town and so we arrive at this thread and why he's trying to change the ruling on it.

They are fine with moving their town; i've already discussed this with them. If anything, Canterlot WANTED to move because it was designed badly. So, they have chosen that, once they have enough funds; they can move the region and start rebuilding.

What EtKenn has writen here is not to change the rules to make Canterlot stay, but to change the rules to allow fairer decisions, for the admins to make, in the future. Like in his example; why should a capital region/struction have to move just because a smaller, older and inactive hamlet is getting in the way? :p
