Half inch of snow? We have more then a meter of snow here, and this is in the city. In the mountains where we have our cabin, there is much much more.

A friend of mine is going to Germany in 2 weeks, and he really wanted to go to Norway also to do some hiking. He called a local, and they said the only way to get to the trail he wanted to go to was to cross country ski 10 miles uphill. And to even get to the point where you could start skiing, you would have to have a private boat take you, since the ferry isn't running.

Honestly, I was far less concerned about the amount of actual snow and far more concerned about the idiots there were going to be driving in it! Only got a few measly inches. They hyped it up way too much. e.e Still, I enjoyed my hot cocoa
