Yuzu is a totally free open-source Nintendo Switch emulator produced by Citra Team, the same set of developers that made Citra, the Nintendo 3DS emulator written about previously. The two emulators share a lot of similarity in their code. It's officially available on 64-bit Windows 7 and over, as well as 64-bit Linux hardware. 8 gigabytes of RAM is the bare minimum, although 16 gigabytes is recommended. MacOS is not currently supported, however, as of April 2020, compatibility for the hardware is being developed; it isn't currently known when this will be implemented. Yuzu is regarded as user friendly. To play the numerous playable games lawfully, you are required to dump them out of your own Nintendo switch. DLC and game updates can be installed, and this is known to be quite a simple procedure. In terms of linking controllers for usage, you'll need to change a few configurations, although the details depend on what game you're playing, in addition to your own hardware. With a mouse and keyboard works for games, and you can especially set up your mouse and keyboard for certain actions.

One feature that Yuzu has is very similar to one Citra has (which has been written about previously). You may choose whether you would like to install the Yuzu Nightly variant or the Yuzu Canary variant. Yuzu Nightly is a much more steady version of Yuzu that will be easier for you to use and play games with, but it doesn't have any features you may want available. The Yuzu Canary version, by comparison, might not be as stable as Nightly, but has some features Nightly doesn't have available. Much like in Citra, these features are occasionally experimental; they might be eventually placed into Yuzu Nightly, other times they're left exclusively in Yuzu Canary, or, in some cases, removed entirely from any sort of available Yuzu applications. Other times they're just features that only work with lower performance (Or brings the game's functionality down), which explains why they are exclusive to the less steady variant (Yuzu Canary).
