Unfortunately if you wear a stack of chain mail you damage all of their durability at once!

And once you unstack them you cannot restack them, so watch out

Im pretty sure its not possible to wear stacked armor.

You take te stacked chain in your inventory then you right click and you take one of the stacked chainmail
