The Organization of Track Standardizing Rangers is a so dubbed cartel that aspires to normalize all prices of tracks sold by rangers into groups of set prices.​

Doing so is an essential step in allowing all rangers to have a fair voice in trade as well as have an opportunity to profit off of selling tracks.​

The purpose of this cartel is to protect all rangers in the market. Undercutting prices of other ranger's tracks to extreme extents will not be tolerated under the jurisdiction of OTSR. Anyone found selling tracks for absurd amounts, such as 0.00c or negative amounts (Yes, paying the person asking for a track), will be punished. Other tracks sold for amounts not coinciding with the price during that specific day will be frowned upon.​

Centralizing prices to standards soon to be mentioned will allow the rangers in the Herocraft community to live in harmony with one another.​

Proposed price:​

5c through Monday - Sunday​

*Of course, all prices are subject to change. Specific cases may call for the specific ranger so called upon to heighten the price for profit, or lower the price out of sympathy.​

**Tracks on newbs for higher dtp kills are subject to increased prices (up to ranger in question's jurisdiction).​

Developing a functional Ranger's Cartel will assist in the regulation of tracks. The server-wide economy can only profit from eliminating inane disruptions to track sales.​

And so, I call out to all rangers or soon to be rangers to assist me in this endeavor. Joining the cartel will only cement the kinship between rangers. It will show the strength that the Herocraft community maintains as a whole.​

Ya, my free tracks trump this. I don't see why anyone would charge for tracks honestly. Its costs me nothing to do and only takes me a second to type. It just strikes me as selfish when I see people charging for something that costs them absolutely nothing to do.

Why would anyone charge for a business consulting? It costs consultants little to do, and doesn't take that much committed time unless it's a major project. That's not selfish, that's business and industry working.

Well, I have a couple of problems with your argument.

1. This is a video game. Not the real world.
2. We are not consultants or a comparable equivalent. We are the ranger class on a minecraft server at it takes not even a second to type /skill track targetnamehere. Being a business consultant like many other jobs in the real world actually require you spend a lot of time and possibly gas which is quite expensive to get where you need to be.

In the end your are just being selfish and charging people for something that will cost you near no time and no cost. I don't care how many examples/analogies you throw at me you just can't justify charging people for tracks. Its just you trying to make a quick buck.
Tl:dr: This is a video game and it is nowhere near comparable to the ridiculous real world consultant analogy you used.

I'm sure a few others such as Graink , zachimon and Fo0l3d would completely agree with me.

Who knows how much out of /ch t tracking actually goes on? You will end up driving yourself mad from hunting down rangers that don't report to your organization all day long.

This will never work (unless by some off-chance you are the only ranger on). What this is, is basic anarchy and you know how that's going to work out? Simple:

There will be 3 sides, Your rangers, The other rangers, And non-ranger classes.
Then there will be many many many little fights here and there. Where one side may get that one lucky kill, the other side will get a kill just like yours, THEN the non rangers will pick sides with the rangers that will give them most benefit in the future (AKA not your rangers, but the ones giving them at lower prices) and they will slowly obliterate your unorthodox method of aiming to control tracking prices.

That's the political view point.

Gaming view point is even simpler.
You sell tracks at "x"c, Other sell at less than "x"c, and therefor you give up (Unless determined to not make any income... Or are the only ranger on at the time) and begin to sell at their prices. Oh and maybe 1 or 2 deaths for fun.

I always give free tracks to townies, but not everybody has a ranger in their town.

People start to decline in interest about dickishly undercutting other people; it's not as big a problem as you would think.
