I was pvping in the main city and didn't know it was not allowed. I was a pretty big noob at the time and i'm looking into seriously playing this server now that i've read up on the class systems and other features that have seem to be added since my departure.

Haha. Yah; I spoke to him. Explained to him how things are different now and he assured me he would read ALL of the rules; I linked him. Some people are so quick to murder. Hahaha.
