I have noticed that some folks have capes and others do not. I was curious if capes are available to those of us who don't currently have them through some sort of mod (e.g. MCCapes) or if the capes are through HC only via some method I am currently unaware of. Enlighten me, please!

You're probably seeing the optifine capes. If you donate money to the optifine devs you get a cape that anyone who uses optifine can see. Is that it?

Nope supporter tiers do not have capes at this time.

Some capes are in game because of Minecon, and some not everyone can see as it is part of testing with Heromod.

If what you're seeing isn't Minecon/In-Dev capes then it's most likely Optifine if you have that installed as LightningCake said.

Though as Angyles said when HeroMod is running again you will probably see a couple more capes floating around if you have it installed.

Noted about the optifine donor cape. I do have optifine and I do see the capes, yes; but I wonder if I can install a mod to be able to wear one as well. Or, if that is off limits, how to get one on my back.
