    -Herocraft Community- Currency Poll

That depends entirely on how villagers can be found and how the trading system will be modified. Which depends entirely on how our currency system will be modified with the introduction of emeralds (if it will be modified at all!)

Suggestion DHX/Farmer selling villager eggs in 4.0?

Villagers should be in the wild. Villager eggs should be relatively rare rewards given to players at the end of events and such - perhaps, if Kainzo perfects his questing system, it could be a reward at the end of a particularly difficult quest? Villagers should also be able to be killed. This...

    -Herocraft Community- Currency Poll

I disagree. The presence of a villager in a protected area, such as a town, would present one more asset that cities will be able to present to prospective citizens. It would also be another element that, if not properly guarded or hidden, can easily be destroyed by a raiding party.

    -Herocraft Community- Currency Poll

It introduces a currency to vanilla Minecraft because the game lacked any sense of currency. Before, items were traded based on how useful they were to you. In Herocraft, we have a currency: gold. With my idea, emeralds are still a currency, but their value is limited entirely to villagers. In...

    -Herocraft Community- Currency Poll

Gold should remain the official currency that DHX exchanges for credits. Emeralds should be used primarily for trading to villagers, and secondarily as a decorative item. Villagers should be restricted so that only Merchants can trade with them (once they reach a certain level, of course.)...

    Gold vs. Emerald

The thing is, that's a big if. And unless there are easy ways to restrict trades so that they have a cooldown or the type of trade itself deteriorates if you make multiple trades within a certain time period, it doesn't look like an emerald-based currency is plausible. Either make emeralds...

    Gold vs. Emerald

Make it so only Merchants have the ability to trade with villagers.

    Gold vs. Emerald

Here's an idea. In real life, we have multiple forms of currency. You've got pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters, dollar bills, $5s, $10s, you get the point. According to Minecraftwiki.net, gold and emerald both have relatively similar spawn rates (assuming that you're in an Extreme Hills...

    DDOS attack by CraftLandia.

Hmm, I've got a few connections... Somebody PM me and accidentally slip a few IP addresses, and I'll see what I can do.
