    Interesting. I haven't personally tried that, as I've found no particular reason to use forge as of yet. That'll be handy to have around should we ever need to use forge to load any approved mods.

    Honestly, the only thing missing is HeroMod and VoxelMenu (and VoxelMenu does have 1.7.2...I'm just working on getting the download from Mumfrey). In all reality, I'd be rather surprised if the ModPack comes out for 1.7.4...though that might be what's taking a while.

    I believe Rei's doesn't work with Forge currently, per the mod...if you're using my setup as detailed above, you don't need Forge, at all.
