Suggestion Town Helper Rank

My town recently toggled Member Build and Destroy off, to prevent any grief and to avoid any holes being dug unintentionally by the new players. And instead giving them access to certain zones, via plots. Although we like having the extra safety to certain sections of the town, and the town in general, we have ran into issues when we want some members to have permission to build but not others. Currently we promote those certain members to council, giving them perms to build/destroy. However, this takes away the tax on that member and allows them to build in others' plots. We were thinking and as far as we know, helper has no special permissions. So my request would be, that the Helper rank can build/destroy, but not on player plots they don't have perms too, and that they still receive tax (I don't know if they do or don't atm). This seems to fit the idea of the helper rank, and would much help us in our situation. Thanks in advance.

Also, as a side note, is there a command to give the whole town access to a plot, rather than adding every member, one at a time? We've tried numerous things and I couldn't find it on the wiki. Thanks again.

Town Helper currently allows for outside members to build in your town. So while it could double as that I would think that a new rank would be better, to prevent confusion. I already had this idea of making a trusted rank called "Builder" which would allow people to build outside of plots even when Town building was off, however I never got around to looking into configs to figure it out, and sadly right now I'm too busy with school things. Perhaps someone else can look into implementing this. I think that a trusted rank that isn't council is important, especially during advertisement surges.

Ok, thanks for clearing up on what Helper is for. And I would love to have another rank for that purpose, like you said. If someone could possibly make it I would very much appreciate it!

There are already systems in place to allow people build rights you just add them to the plot you want them to build in. or if you want people to have full build perms create a global plot that covers the whole town.

The helper rank allows them to assign plots to town members currently

At the moment, you can not make a global plot that covers the whole town, like you stated. Being that town plots can't overlap each other. So if we were to do that we would have to make a combination of plot weaving through the numerous plots in our town. Meaning to give one person build/destroy rights, would probably take 500+ commands. If you can even remember all of the plot names, without having to search.

And the helper rank, although now I understand it's role and perms, doesn't solve our problem.

again not if you use parent and child regions properly.

nvm ignore me it seems that's no longer possible just double checked the command list.

I'll have a poke around see if I can find another solution
